This is my for sale page! I will update as needed! Last update 1/22/12
Disclaimer If at any point I feel you are incapable of properly caring for these animals I reserve the right to refund your money and cancel the sale. Deposits paid on birds not picked up by the designated day will not be refunded. I will make 2 attempts to contact you but ultimately it is your responsibility to maintain contact with me.
Before try to haggle me down on cost of my birds please consider the cost in raising them. I myself have spent 1000's on the birds alone. Not to mention the cost in running the incubator, heat lamps food and yearly testing. That won't even come close to the cost of housing them. I am not one to mark them up so usually there is not room to haggle with me. I try to be fair not over charging the buyer but not loosing money myself. I do think I have nice quality birds that are well cared for at a very fair price. Plus the whole business of haggling is not one I am comfortable with. If you don't find my prices fair I am sorry. If you are looking for cheap birds you should try a backyard breeder or a hatchery. Neither of which I am. I have a small flock of high quality birds and price them accordingly.
Warm Regards!
Please understand that although the eggs you are purchasing come from exhibition quality stock not all chicks will be Show Quality. I have hatched several hundred to get the few I show. I do believe hatching eggs are your best cost efficient chance for obtaining true Show Quality birds. I will occasionally post auctions on Backyardchickens.com or Thepoutlrybid.com. I am setting most at this time but have been selling a few privately. I try to include several extras to cover clear or scrambled eggs. I pack in a Med. or large flat rate box which cost 11.00 or 15.65 for shipping with delivery confirmation and tracking number included. The eggs are packed in shredded paper in egg cartons then placed in the box surrounded with more paper making sure no sides touch the side of the box.
Disclaimer: All I can do as far as hatching eggs is pack them to the best of my ability and the rest is up to the post office. If eggs are lost in the mail, dropped, shaken, abused, exposed to extreme heat or cold for long periods, exposed to security x- ray at shipping terminals or customs,.......Then they may never develop at all or show any signs of fertility. All of these things can render the eggs unhatchable. Even if the box arrives intact, there is no guarantee that one or more of these shipping hazards didn't occur.I also can not be responsible for your method of hatching. This is the reason I do not replace hatching eggs. There is no way for me to tell if one particular egg is fertile unless I crack it open or put it in the bator, neither will work for shipping hatching eggs. Hatching eggs are a risk So do not bid or buy eggs from me unless you understand the risk. If the fertility here was not good I would not be run over to the point of selling eggs. I do this as a hobby and for the love of the breed.
I wanted the best Showgirls I could afford and that is what I got. IMHO So if you want cheep Showgirls you should also expect that in the quality. I take pride in them and work very hard to improve the breed and would love to have them accepted as their own Variety of Silkies.
They are my pride and joy!
